Summary:

The San Diego T-Hunt Group's annual On-Foot T-Hunt on May 20th was attended by a total of 22 people. 15 Hams and 7 non-Hams. There were a total of 10 teams on the course at one time with one team composed of three generations, Tim, AJ6XP, his son Ian and grandson Isaac This was the first On-Foot Hunt for them and also for Giri, AK2I, both new participants with the San Diego group. Both teams found all 5 hidden transmitters in the Morley Field area of Balboa Park. Bill Wright, WB6CDM took first place in the single team category with a time of 43 minutes. We had a tie for the two person team category with Bill, W6ZM and his wife, Robin, KM6OUL competing with Matt, N6EAJ and Ed. Both teams came it at 1 hour 23 minutes. All 3 teams received prizes for their efforts. It was overcast most of the day providing the hunters with fairly cool weather for the hunt. It was determined that everyone had a good time and enjoyed the T-Hunt and BBQ.
