Summary:

The site was at the south end of Community Rd near Poway. You could also get to it via Stotler Ct. off of Kirkham Rd. They both end up leading to an industrial park overlooking Beeler Creek. You needed to wander around to the back of a few warehouses to get to the transmitters. I wanted something you needed to go out of your way for and loose the signal along the way. It doesn't look like I found it. At the start, Joe (SZO) said "See you in 15 minutes". It actually took him about 30. The signal was too good (5 W). I should have cut back or bounced it off of something. Everybody started out headed in the right direction. The group was so tight that I couldn't tell 3 of the teams apart. They spread out a bit on the way. I wasn't tracking Greg (RXX). I never found his beacon ID. Additionally, Joe (PHB) and Bill (ZM) were both beaconing in the same car. As a result, they show up in the track as two cars. They all came up I15 to Pomerado and headed east. Tom fell behind for a while. He was without a navigator. There must have been a reflection from around Cypress Canyon Park. Some of the teams were diverted off course. They quickly recovered and got back on track. I think that Bill (ZM) was the first hunter I saw arrive in the lot. I lost track of the specifics. I forgot to ask for the hunters to send me pictures as proof of the find. Greg (RXX) sent me two pictures any way. One of them shows a hunter, Bill I think, walking right past T2 without noticing it. Everyone else was part of the crowd and found the transmitters as a group. I had placed a decoy near T2. Nobody fell for it.
